Macbeth: Final Draft

Macbeth by William Shakespeare is a play about how a few people will do anything for power. Though the path they choose to pursue may have been more inhumane, they became narrow-minded to the thought of ruling Ireland.

In the beginning of the play, 3 witches told a prophecy of Macbeth becoming King. Since a few events turned out to be true for Macbeth, he felt that the witches prophecy would be true. With this, Macbeth wrote a letter his wife. Lady Macbeth seemed to be the "brain of the operation" or the person in charge of how they would fore fill the prophecy. In the beginning of the story, Macbeth writes a letter to his wife, Lady Macbeth, about the witches prophecy for him. Then, Lady Macbeth thinks to herself of how one would act toward this situation. This soliloquy she had, stated of how one would not do bad but would for another reason.

Toward the middle of the play, things started to sorta get out of control and some mentalities start to change when "things start to get real".  Macbeth and Lady Macbeth start to change personalities. Macbeth starts to care more about the power and becoming King but Lady Macbeth starts to worry more because of how out of control and demented Macbeth was becoming. As more and more people were being killed, killing more people seemed to be the only solution for Macbeth. This worried Lady Macbeth because killing so much people wasn't how she imagined the plan. But due Macbeth's sudden change of personality, Lady Macbeth's personality changed as well.

Though things didn't turn out as planned, Macbeth felt that becoming king was in his grasp. Killing off nearly everyone next to the throne or people that he felt knew he was the caused of all the murders. This lead to Macduff killing Macbeth. Macbeth's personality became more selfish and ignorant toward the end due to the witches prophecy and sayings. With the witch confessing that Macbeth could not die from a man born from a women, this made Macbeth's feel invisible. But his ego is what got him killed. With the confidence of him not being able to die, he felt he could take on Macduff and defeat his army. Only leading Macbeth to his death.

In conclusion, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth could have succeed but due to their narrow mind in the situations that they were put in, they prepared for the best instead of the worst. Causing them to be blinded of the bad that could happen.
